Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough on-site evaluations of Medicare-Medicaid certified healthcare facilities to verify adherence to federal standards.
• Engage in various surveys, including re-certification, comparative audits, complaint investigations, and follow-up visits, for diverse facilities such as:
• Long-term care institutions
• Ambulatory Surgical Centers (ASC)
• Intermediate Care Facilities for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICFs/IID)
• End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) centers
• Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facilities (PRTF)
• Hospitals and Critical Access Hospitals
• Hospice centers
• Prepare for assessments by reviewing documentation, touring facilities, observing care practices, and interviewing staff and residents.
• Identify and report non-compliance areas, ensuring healthcare facilities are equipped to address deficiencies.
• Evaluate facility systems concerning quality of care, patient rights, and physical infrastructure.
• Effectively communicate findings with key personnel during the survey process.
• Review and assess corrective action plans, conduct follow-ups, and monitor compliance enhancements.
  

Required Skills

• Active RN license in good standing.
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate healthcare systems and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Capable of making independent decisions and managing survey processes proficiently.
• Exceptional communication, conflict resolution, and organizational abilities.
• Willingness and capacity to travel nationwide up to 75% regularly.
  
  

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required.
• Completion of CMS's Long-Term Care Basic Training and passing of the Surveyor Minimum Qualifications Test (SMQT) is mandatory.
• A minimum of 2 years of recent experience as a surveyor in accrediting or certifying long-term care facilities.

Compensation And Benefits

• Salary: \(75,000 - \)90,000 annually
• Full-time schedule, Monday - Friday
